SCIENCE IS DIVINE

Students of Christian Science watch with great interest the progress which natural scientists are making in their many fields of knowledge. Traditional limitations are being broken down, and matter's component forces are being brought under control for various purposes

But Christian Scientists do not forget that more than nineteen hundred years ago Christ Jesus demonstrated divine Science, explained the laws underlying his marvelous control of matter, and left the assurance that his works were not peculiar to himself. Among his last words were these set down by John (14:12): "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do." Jesus could say this because he was demonstrating true Science, which belongs to every age.

Christian Science demonstrates the same Christly power which the Master displayed, and its adherents know that their present feeble sense of that power will grow as they grow in Christliness. Christian Science is perhaps more widely known in the world as a religion or a healing method than as a Science. Indeed, its basis is theological and its healing works thought-provoking; but to grasp fully the import of this tremendous discovery, one must understand it as the law of divine Mind, as absolute Science, with Principle, rules for application, and perpetual unfoldment of power.
