I am very grateful to be a student of Christian Science. I should like to tell of an instance of protection I had while living in the country. Early one summer evening I was riding my horse, and as I was passing a field of cattle, I noticed suddenly that a bull was snorting and pawing the ground. In just a few minutes it ran to the back of the field and then came charging toward me. It jumped the fence and crossed the road behind me. I felt quite terrified for a few minutes.

I had been attending a Christian Science Sunday School for some time, and it came to me that this was a testing time. Either I understood what I had been taught and could use it, or I was not a very good Christian Scientist. A message from one of Mrs. Eddy's poems came to me (Poems, p. 4),
