OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS CONSTANTLY

How often one hears the statement, "Opportunity knocks but once." Christian Science teaches the fallacy of such a belief, for mankind is being presented hourly with the opportunity to apply the practical truths taught by Christ Jesus and revealed to this age in the Science of Christianity by Mary Baker Eddy. This Science points the way for the overcoming of fear, lack, sickness, sin, and discord.

One of the common beliefs of mankind is lack of opportunity to make rapid progress in one's human field of activity, in church work, and in growth Spiritward. The falsity of this belief becomes evident as one begins to understand, through the teachings of Christian Science, that man, not mortal man but God's man, exists as a perfect child of God, lacking nothing and having all good, which God bestows alike on all of His children.

The real man in God's image and likeness is spiritual, not material, and coexists with God. In the measure that one understands man's at-one-ment with God, divine Love, he is freed from the limiting, restrictive, and erroneous beliefs of material existence. The opportunity to purify one's thinking and to accept only that which is real and eternal is ever present and available to all.
