In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 264), "When we learn the way in Christian Science and recognize man's spiritual being, we shall behold and understand God's creation,—all the glories of earth and heaven and man."

My experience has proved the above statement to be true. As a boy and during early adulthood I was never quite free from illness or the threat of illness. I suffered for many years from constipation, headaches, and constantly recurring colds and fever and was a habitual user of patent medicines.

I learned of Christian Science through neighbors who had a satisfaction in living that I did not have. I began to study this Science, and it changed the whole course of my life. The chronic constipation, headaches, and fever were permanently healed simply by my reading the textbook.
