Joy and Inspiration Found in Teaching Tiny Tots

[From a teacher in a branch church Sunday School]

It is an inspiring privilege to teach the youngest children in the Christian Science Sunday School, for the teacher can learn so many things from the little ones. Their thought is so pure that they readily grasp the truth. If we ourselves go into the class as a little child, our experience will be happy and joyful.

I had been teaching boys and girls who were just ready to enter kindergarten. I was quite happy with this age group. Then the superintendent asked me to take a class of younger ones. These children had not yet reached their fourth birthday. After several Sundays had passed, I spoke to the superintendent and said that I was very unhappy with my class and felt that I was not helping the children while having this attitude. I asked if she would give me a class of about the same age group as I had had before. She felt I was needed where I was and wanted me to try a little longer, and I promised to pray about it.
