In my previous testimony, published in the Sentinel of August 7, 1937, I spoke of my mother's healing as the reason for my family's coming into Christian Science. I should like to say here that my mother's healing has been permanent and that she has been a member of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, ever since.

Houses were very scarce when my husband was transferred upstate, but in our thinking there was no doubt that our true place was already established in Mind. We held to this angel message (Ex. 23: 20): "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." After five years of happiness in the home to which we were led, another proof of God's care and guidance was shown us when we were divinely guided to our present home.

A few years ago our younger son was severely burned from his waist up by a gasoline explosion. A neighbor rushed him to a doctor, and because of the severity of the burn, he refused to release him. To the doctor's amazement, within a few hours the child was resting comfortably and was without any pain. The doctor told us the boy had second- and third-degree burns and tried to persuade us that he needed hospital care, but we refused to send our son to the hospital. Suggestions of blood transfusions, plastic surgery, and skin grafting were rejected and replaced with the healing power of the truths taught in Christian Science.
