Through the study and application of Christian Science I have received many blessings and healings over a period of about twenty-five years. One outstanding healing was that of a badly injured foot. One afternoon while coming down the stairs in my home I caught my foot in the runner on the stair. The shoe was jammed so tightly under the runner that it required some effort to get it loose. I did not pay much attention to the incident at the time, but that evening when I went to church the foot was hurting a good deal.

When I returned home, the foot was paining me so severely that I could walk only on the heel. The next morning I had a difficult time getting to my car and driving to the office. Here I had to climb two long flights of stairs. It was quite an ordeal. Later in the morning I managed to keep a business appointment away from the office.

When I returned and faced the tow flights of stairs, I felt that it was utterly impossible for me to succeed without God's help. I worked for a few moments to know the truth that the man God created cannot be handicapped in any way. As I did so I felt a movement in the arch of my foot, as though a bone was being adjusted. I was healed instantaneously. Recognizing this healing, I joyfully ran up the stairs two at a time. When I got home that night, I also ran up the stairs two at a time, much to the surprise of my family, who that morning had seen me painfully hobbling to the garage.
