Christian Science Services on Shipboard

Many Christian Scientists who travel on ocean-going liners are happily and generously sharing with their fellow passengers the blessings of their religion through Christian Science church services on shipboard. A number of reports have been received during the past year from those who have taken advantage of such opportunities, and the following are some of their experiences:

"After our ship left port on Friday my wife and I gave our names to the purser and asked that we be informed of any other Christian Scientists who were interested in holding a Sunday service. By Saturday evening no names had been turned in, but we decided to go ahead anyway.

"The purser was very co-operative and had the time and place of the service posted on the bulletin boards and inserted in the ship's newspaper. That evening, as we prepared for the service, we knew that those who were ready for the blessing would attend. It was held in the library, and we started at eleven o'clock with an attendance of eighteen. This occasion was a truly inspiring one.
