It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I offer this testimony. In 1929 two copies of the Sentinel were sent to my husband and me by a friend, and as a result of our reading them my husband was healed of conjunctivitis and of the need for wearing glasses. At the same time our two children were healed of constipation. I had been in poor health, and I was healed also. It was as though I had awakened from a deep sleep.

I should like to relate one instance of protection which took place when our son was four years old. He was given a ride on a drayload of posts, and as the horse hurriedly crossed a drain, the dray capsized. The boy was thrown to the ground, and the posts covered the lower part of his body. However, he was quite unhurt and without even a bruise.

Another healing, which was outstanding, came when I was expecting our last child. It was thought that I would have a miscarriage. In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy I read (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." As I read these words I was healed, and the baby was later born normally.
