I can say in the words of one...

I can say in the words of one of our hymns, "My heart is singing: I have found the way" (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 64).

Before becoming interested in Christian Science I was led to read "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur. "This book greatly impressed me, and I obtained a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. When I finished reading it, I found myself healed of hip trouble, which had caused great suffering for a period of years and was getting more serious as time went on. The doctors had previously told me I never could be free from this painful condition, because one leg was shorter than the other. Since my healing, both legs have been the same length.

Before I took up the study of Christian Science and for some time thereafter, I was troubled with severe pains in my arm and in my shoulder. Medicine, as well as osteopathic and electrical treatments, had failed to bring relief, and the pain increased. One night, while preparing to attend a Christian Science lecture, the second one I had ever attended, the thought came to me that in the future I would rely entirely upon Christian Science. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, says in Science and Health (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized."
