When I was a girl, a cousin tried to introduce Christian Science to me, but I was not interested and did not make the least effort to study it. After my marriage. Science was brought to the attention of my husband and me through a friend. At that time we decided to investigate it, and we began to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist. Our two boys were enrolled in the Sunday School, and later I became a member of this branch church and The Mother Church.

My first physical healing was that of a gall bladder condition, and the healing, which has been permanent, came through absent treatment by a Christian Science practitioner over fifteen hundred miles away. I have also experienced healings of sinus trouble, headaches, sprained ankles, and a painful condition of the feet which caused difficulty in walking. Lost articles have been returned by my knowing that uprightness is a quality of God, reflected by man.

On page 167 of Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy says, "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." About three years ago I was attacked by what I believe was an arthritic or rheumatic condition which affected most of my body. A practitioner worked lovingly and patiently to help lift my thought to man's true status as a child of God, and I studied diligently. The healing was gradual, but at no time did I have the least desire to turn to materia medica. During this time I was away from work only two weeks.
