Church Dedications

Coeur D'Alexe. Idaho (First Church),

The new home of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Coeur d'Alene, at Sixth and Coeur d'Alene, will be dedicated tomorrow with services at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The church has been holding services in the new-building since September 16, 1956 The church is now entirely free from debt, a prerequisite for dedication of Christian Science churches .

Construction of the one-story Cape God design building ... began early in 1956. The structure is of pumice block and Super Norman brick with interior finishing in light mahogany, including the Baldwin electric organ which was especially finished to match the church woodwork. Soft rose, blue, and wine combine in the furnishings. A full basement with air wells for ample light and ventilation houses the Sunday School and nursery at the present time. The plan allows for expansion. Acoustical tile has been used as a noise control.
