"Let Your Light So Shine Before Men"
[Extracts from reports prepared for the Reading Room Division]
Abilene, Texas
For some years committees in our branch church had been doing prayerful metaphysical work regarding the relocation of our Reading Room to an accessible downtown location. It was decided finally that the time had come to bring the matter to the attention of our members in order to ascertain whether or not proper support would be given to the contemplated move.
It was realized that appreciation of our Reading Room needed first to be established more firmly in the hearts of our members before the public could be expected to express the desired interest. Different ways to awaken the thought of the members to the importance of supporting the Reading Room now, right where it was, were brought out.
