RADIO PROGRAM No. 215 - A Healing of Grief

Speaker: Our program today is entitled "A Healing of Grief." Our guest is Carl J. Welz of San Francisco, California. When his mother passed on, he learned something of eternal life, which Christ Jesus explained, and he was healed of grief.

Mr. Welz: In 1939, I was attending Graduate School at Columbia University in New York City when I received a telegram from my home on the West Coast that my mother had passed on. The shock was great at the moment, and I was completely overwhelmed by the sense of grief and loss and kept asking myself, "Why did it happen?"

You see, our family was very close. Our home was the center of our attention and affection. I'd gone through college living at home. My going to New York was my first long separation from my home. I had never before been faced with the problem of anyone close to me passing on.
