"FORGET NOT FOR A MOMENT, THAT GOD IS ALL-IN-ALL"

"Forget not for a moment, that God is All-in-all—therefore, that in reality there is but one cause and effect." So writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Miscellaneous Writings" (pp. 154, 155). Christian Science breaks the false claim of evil as power and reveals that understanding God, divine Mind, as the only cause is the correct way to overcome sin, disease, death.

Knowing that God made every true and intelligent thought, Jesus overcame the mesmeric suggestion of evil. He did not forget for a moment God's allness and his unity with his Father, God. "I and my Father are one," he declared (John 10:30). Our Way-shower taught that the Christ-consciousness is available to all, for he said (Luke 17:21), "The kingdom of God is within you."

However, his followers did not realize the importance of remembering each moment "that God is All-in-all." For instance, after the crucifixion two of the disciples who, on the way to Emmaus, were rehearsing the tragedy did not recognize Jesus as he walked with them. Christ Jesus asked (Luke 24:17), "What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?"
