For many years it has been my privilege to subscribe for and read the Christian Science periodicals. The articles and testimonies have always been an inspiration to me. Now I wish to add my words of thanks to our Father-Mother God, as well as to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

It was my happy experience to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, beginning with the youngest class. My son compiled nearly eighteen years in the Sunday School, and my daughter is now attending. We have had main proofs of the power of God's protecting care. When the children were young, many of the so-called contagious diseases were avoided. The article by Mrs. Eddy entitled "Contagion" (Miscellaneous; Writings, pp. 228, 229) was a source of great help. The few cases of contagion which were experienced in our family were healed promptly with the help of a Christian Science practitioner.

Because we have protected ourselves with the truths of Christian Science, accidents have usually been averted, but on one occasion an automobile accident did occur. The simple statement, "God is here," filed my thoughts, and I repeated this audibly. The car was nearly demolished, but the passengers were unharmed. At a time of grief I was comforted by a testimony in The Christian Science journal.
