WE CAN UTILIZE DIVINE POWER

Christ Jesus healed the sick and cast out error of every kind, and he did this through the utilization of divine power and in obedience to the divine will. Moreover, he promised, in effect, that those who would spiritually understand the infinite Principle which he taught and demonstrated would be able also to utilize this power in behalf of themselves and others. It follows unquestionably that salvation for mankind comes through the understanding and utilization of divine law.

Mary Baker Eddy states in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p.69): "The Principle of Christian Science is divine. Its rule is, that man shall utilize the divine power." We do this through spiritual reflection. It was the Christ, Truth, which Jesus embodied that enabled him to demonstrate the divine power over every phase of evil. This power is available to all men in direct proportion to their Christliness or genuine spirituality.

Christian Science, in accord with the inspired Word of Scripture, declares that there is but one God, one infinite Mind, and that man is the full reflection, the compound idea of God, including the universe. God's idea, which is infinitely individualized, is forever sustained and governed by God's law of harmony, continuity, and completeness. This idea eternally evidences the perfection, glory, goodness, immutability, and might of its divine source.
