IDENTITY
We
are whole. Shadow is only where
Our vision seems to fail us: the mosaic
Of hope and fear, desire and despair
Is counterfeit; the double vision bears
No relation to true identity.
The limited mortal,
Lapsing and relapsing, catching
Light in glimpses, all unconsciously
Is reaching out for what must lie within!
We have no separation from His brightness
And are released from the illusion that seems to hide
Hope from fruition, Love from its effect.
In the measure that the heart is purified, we see
Man's unity with God; for no negation
Can ever hide divine identity.
