I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and for a healing which I had about nineteen years ago. I do not know what materia medica would have called the condition, for I did not have a doctor.

The attack started with severe nausea, and after a day and night of illness I lost consciousness. When I regained consciousness several days later, I was unable to speak. The nauseated feeling finally left me, but I was still unable to talk.

At the end of a two-week period, I suffered a severe hemorrhage. At this time I had the feeling that I was passing on. The practitioner who was helping me held firmly to the truth that God was my Life, and this truth sustained me. In a short time I was able to talk a little, and as time passed I gradually regained the ability to converse as before. After two months of prayer and study, during which time I was in no discomfort. I regained my normal health and was able to take over the duties of running my home.
