Blessings Through Monitor Advertising Work

Branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, report continuing blessings to their churches and communities through participation in the advertising activities for The Christian Science Monitor.

Some of these blessings are apparent in the few experiences shared here from the advertising representatives of the Monitor and from members of The Christian Science Monitor Advertising Information Committees active in branch churches throughout the world. These experiences illustrate that not less to its advertising than to the paper as a whole did Mary Baker Eddy assign the mission of the Monitor to bless all. And not less to those who read and support the Monitor's advertising than to those who read the Monitor's news does the blessing extend.

From England: "Members of the advertising information committee try to share with church members the blessings which come to all through patronizing the advertisers in the Monitor. To mention just one instance: a church member related that after purchasing a book she talked with the manager of a Monitor-advertised store, who said to her: 'I have been working here for forty years, and I can say that no advertising surpasses that in the Monitor. People who come here in response to these advertisements are so courteous and so understanding.'"
