THE COMFORTER

[Of Special Interest to Children]

This is the story of a boy named Sheldon, who learned of the Comforter which reveals the truth of God's presence always around us. Every night for a time Sheldon had very unpleasant nightmares. Sometimes he would even leave his bed and roam around the house in his sleep. All of this made him unhappy.

Sheldon's mother, who was not a Christian Scientist and knew nothing of God's healing power, had taken him to several doctors, but nothing they did seemed to help. His mother wanted to send Sheldon to a camp during his summer vacation, but he was afraid to go because of these nightmares. He thought that the other boys might poke fun at him.

Now Sheldon had an aunt who was a Christian Scientist, and when she heard of his trouble she invited him to spend a week end with her in the suburbs. When the time came for Sheldon to go to bed, his aunt sat by his bedside and talked to him.
