After many years of blessings through the understanding and application of Christian Science, I feel that it is not only a privilege but a joyous duty to bear witness to a God that never fails us. In humbly turning to Him and knowing the truth regarding Him and all His spiritual creation I have had numerous healings. I have never resorted to medical help of any kind all through the years, since taking up the study of Christian Science.

About six years ago I became quite ill and was forced to my bed. I early sought the help of a loving practitioner, a close friend, who came to me at once. With the cooperation of my faithful husband she worked for me by day and night. After three days and nights of suffering with no relief, I thought that I was passing on until I heard my friend calling me by name and saying very positively, "Christian Science needs you." That statement so roused me that I listened. An angel message came, and I found myself repeating over and over, "Only be thou strong and very courageous" (Josh. 1:7) and, "Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord" (Isa. 43:10). Then the light of Truth came, and in just a few moments I wanted to leave my bed.

I shall never forget that holy experience; surely I had had a glimpse of the Christ. With my husband on one side of me, and my ever-faithful friend on the other, I found myself much like the man spoken of in the Bible who entered the temple "walking, and leaping, and praising God" (Acts 3:8), for I knew that I was healed. In a short time I was able to be about the Father's business, continuing my work in the Christian Science Sunday School.
