JOY

Joy is a shining citadel
Rising serene and fair.
Its circling walls are faith and love;
No evil enters there.

The storms of sense may seem to beat
About the city's base,
But built upon the rock it stands
Untouched by time or place.

The mists of earth may seem to stretch
As far as eye can see,
But bathed in light the city stands
In crystal purity.

Joy is a shining citadel
Rising serene and fair.
And those who put their trust in God
Are always welcome there.
