I am grateful for the unmistakable proofs which I have received of the healing power of the Christ, Truth. Shortly after commencing to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist, I became seriously ill. The disease was manifested in my spine, arms, and legs. I suffered acute pain and was unable to work.

Although I knew very little about Christian Science, I had heard the testimonies of healing at several Wednesday evening meetings, and I reasoned that if so many people could be healed of their diseases and problems, I too could be healed. I sought and received the help of a Christian Science practitioner; then I trusted wholly to divine Mind for guidance and healing. Ten weeks later I resumed duty, completely healed of the diseased condition.

Radical reliance on Truth during the intervening years enabled me to overcome a serious situation four years ago when I had a cerebral hemorrhage. Immediately I declared, "God is my Life;" and I continued fervently to declare that vital truth. By holding fast to it I did not lose consciousness, and after some minutes I was able to attract the attention of my wife. She thereupon telephoned for the help of a Christian Science practitioner. Treatment was given immediately, and I straightway experienced an ineffable calm.
