For the past forty years Christian Science, when honestly applied, has met my every need. The physical healings have been many, and I am most grateful for all of them. Some were received with the loving help of practitioners and others by my own application of Christian Science.

One particular healing blessed me greatly by the proof that man is never handicapped. While on my way to serve in the Sunday School one morning I had an accident in which I severely injured my hand. I was able to take over my Sunday School duties as assistant superintendent, although I was unable to use the hand and the pain was great. The temptation to leave for my home, where I could be alone to know the truth about the situation, was met with the realization that God is ever present and that I did not need to go anywhere to be aware of His tender love and care. I knew that my place was right there where I could perform my duties and that error was powerless to interfere with the right activity of man. With this realization I remained at my post. In the days following I was able to do all my work at home, and after the first day there was very little pain.

At the request of a member of the family who was not a Christian Scientist my hand was later examined by a doctor. Three bones were found to have been broken, but they had been perfectly set, although no cast or splint had been used. Christian Science alone set the broken bones and held them in place. This healing has remained permanent.
