With deepest sincerity I wish to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science means to me.

My first healing in Science came while I was visiting a relative who was a student of this blessed religion. I had never seen or read anything of this Science. My religious education had been in an orthodox church, and I had never been given satisfying answers to questions about God and man.

At three o'clock one morning I walked in my sleep, and when I awoke, found I had stepped from a rear porch four feet high. My ankle was fractured in two places. A physician was called, and the bone was set immediately. Then I was offered the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This was a precious moment in my life. The chapter on Prayer was so plain I knew I had found the answer to my questions. The first sentence, "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love," healed me. Surely "all things are possible to God." I believed every word I read, and within two weeks I was walking in a normal way, to the amazement of my family and friends.
