I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings it has brought me, also to tell of my healings in the hope that they will encourage anyone who is having a slow healing and is tempted to give in to fear and discouragement.

My first healing was of an infected throat, which was almost swollen shut. At that time I knew very little of Science, but had a dear friend who was a practitioner. She was called, and within the hour I was out of bed and feeling quite well again.

The second healing was of a so-called incurable disease, one I had feared since childhood. Several doctors and specialists were consulted, but none gave hope of a permanent cure. Fear grew, and the condition became steadily worse. Finally I realized that if God did not heal me, I never should be healed. The same practitioner was consulted, and I earnestly began the study of Science. Many faults of character had to be overcome, such as resentment and a habit of criticism, also a great fear of death. Many times I would have given up but for the loving help of the practitioner and the testimonies I read. Finally all fear of death and of the disease left me, and then healing came.
