"TAKE NOTICE"

One of the last messages written by our great Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, to her followers is to be found on page 237 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany." It is entitled "Take Notice" and refers to the article "The Church Manual" in the Sentinel of September 10, 1910. In drawing attention to this article Mrs. Eddy recommends it as practical and scientific and one that should be studied by all Christian Scientists.

It will be recollected that Mrs. Eddy left us on December 3, 1910; so the notice in question was given out to the Field less than three months before she departed. It is therefore of special significance.

Not every Christian Scientist is able to consult early files of the Christian Science periodicals, and possibly a copy of the issue for September 10, 1910, may not be readily available to a student dwelling in a distant field. For this reason the importance of our Leader's recommendation may have been neglected or overlooked. It is therefore helpful to remind our readers that the article to which Mrs. Eddy refers is reprinted by The Christian Science Publishing Society in a pamphlet entitled "Today's Demands" and will usually be available to students on application to the librarian at a Christian Science Reading Room.
