A young student of Christian Science proves that man's perfection is now

NOT TIME, BUT SPIRITUAL UNFOLDMENT

Healing in Christian Science is absolutely independent of the passage of time, of material conditions, or restrictions imposed by the so-called carnal mind. Christian Science demonstrates that healing is the direct result of the clear realization of man's spiritual at-one-ment, or unity, with his forever Father-Mother God. The quickness with which healing is experienced depends upon individual spiritual unfoldment, which may be thought of as the progressive realization of God's allness and of man's true selfhood as the image and likeness of God without a single vestige of error. The deciding factor in healing is not time, but one's receptivity to the fact that man is not a mortal having a bad time, but the immortal spiritual idea of God having all that God gives—good.

Healing comes through the recognition of God's creation as He has created it—complete, harmonious, pure, free, intact—in other words, perfect now. Healing is permanent when one understands and accepts the perfection and unchangeableness of his real selfhood as the son of God, never in need of healing.

We are assured in the first chapter of Genesis that God "saw every everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." God never sees His creation as less than spiritually good because He creates nothing else; thus nothing but good really exists. This fact remains as true today as "when the morning stars sang together." One need only align his thought with the facts of being and refuse to accept the fable that man is a mortal, in order to be completely free from any discord. No passage of time is required to establish the truth in one's thinking.
