My heart goes out in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her gift to mankind of Christian Science. As the breadth and depth of this Science unfold in my consciousness, Mrs. Eddy's place as its Discoverer and Founder is more deeply appreciated.

Certain healings stand out in my life as turning points, indicating the way upward on the path from sense to Soul. A severe case of paralyzing stage fright was instantaneously healed, leaving in its place a glow of divine Love which filled my heart with a great sense of love for all mankind. I felt enveloped and protected by divine Love for several weeks. This experience has ever since been a goal to be reached again and retained.

I was in a small village in Hungary when an invading army swept through it. Facing the pointed pistols of the soldiers, I had a sense of God's presence which eliminated all fear. Our household suffered only slight loss from theft, and we were not molested during the occupation of our village. This was surely divine protection! Later, when the lack of food and clothing for my family seemed very real, I turned resolutely to the spiritual fact that divine Love does meet our human need and closed my thoughts to fear. With the lifting of thought I found channels opened whereby our human needs were cared for.
