My gratitude for Christian Science...

My gratitude for Christian Science has inspired me to write this paean of praise for all the manifestations of Love that have been mine since I became interested in this practical, inspiring, and comforting religion.

Fifteen years ago I became suddenly very ill and was in such pain that a doctor was called, who pronounced the difficulty an infection of the kidney. He prescribed what he thought might alleviate the pain, with the admonition that it might take a few weeks to clear the condition completely. Upon the recommendation of a sister who was a student of Christian Science, a practitioner in a distant city was called. At his direction my sister read to me certain references from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and that day I was completely healed.

This wonderful proof of the power of Truth awakened in me an interest in Christian Science, and many healings followed, including those of a dislocated shoulder, influenza, a dislocated bone in a foot, a seasonal condition of the eyes, and a difficulty which was never diagnosed, but which had caused excessive loss of weight and depletion of energy.
