Little Samuel's quick response to Truth: what it can mean to all of us

Instinctively , in time of stress, mortals turn to God in prayer for healing of disease and discord, prayer which well deserves to be answered. Students of Christian Science early learn that God, divine Love, does answer the prayer of spiritual understanding.

There can be no indifference or unresponsiveness in the infinite Love which is God. There is no hesitation in His instant and constant preservation of His image and likeness, man. "Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear" was God's assurance to the prophet Isaiah (Isa. 65:24).

Any seeming delay in answer to prayer can lie only in the acceptance of the illusion that man is material, separated from God, instead of coexistent with Him as spiritual reflection. The awakening from this illusion, or dream, through an understanding of Christian Science brings the joyous realization that our prayer has always been answered.
