With a heart filled with love and gratitude I am taking this opportunity to testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, with the hope that it will be of help to all who read it.

About a year after I took up the study of this Science, it was brought to my attention, by a friend who was a physican, that I had every symptom of toxic goiter. This was very alarming to my husband and me, because my younger sister had passed on from this complaint just a year previously.

Work was immediately taken up by a Christian Science practitioner, but it was deemed advisable to have a physical examination made, the results of which were to mortal sense very alarming. An immediate operation was advised, but much prayerful work was done, and I declared that God was my only physician. A short time later I felt that I was healed, although all the outward manifestations still remained and I had to take to wearing glasses, which was supposed to be a proof of the seriousness of the ailment. The Christian Science treatments were continued, and about six months later the friend who had first called this condition to my notice expressed complete surprise and said I looked like a new person. I then knew I was completely free, and a short time later I was told by the oculist that my eyes were in perfect condition, and that I had no further need of glasses. This healing took place over six years ago and had proved to be permanent.
