Christian Science came to me many years ago when I witnessed the healing of my husband of double pneumonia. After reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I realized that this book contained the truth about God and His creation. During the years that followed, through the study of this wonderful book, I had almost perfect health until about fourteen years ago, when I was taken ill with a condition which caused me such distress that I was unable to lie down or take nourishment for ten days. After two treatments from a Christian Science practitioner, I went about my work as usual, greatly to the surprise of my sister. This error tried to manifest itself once or twice again, but was quickly overcome by the assurance that "affliction shall not rise up the second time," as the prophet Nahum says.

Through the study of Christian Science I was healed of the effects of a fall, when my ribs seemed to be fractured and I was unable to take a full breath for three days. As the result of my holding to the truth that God is my Life, and the source of my strength, my breath, and my understanding, this condition disappeared, and I could breathe freely. Through the study of Christian Science I have experienced healings of burns and financial difficulties, and received protection in accidents.

My son had a wonderful healing from an accident which rendered him unconscious for several hours. We have had many other healings in our family, for all of which I am very grateful. Words cannot express my gratitude for ever-present Truth, which "healeth all thy diseases." For class instruction, membership in The Mother Church, and activity in a branch church I am profoundly grateful.
