Until Christian Science came into my life I never really lived. While I had physical health and vitality, the lack of a right spiritual foundation made all accomplishment seem futile. I knew about Christian Science, and knew that it healed, some years before I was willing to fulfill the requirements necessary for accepting it and benefiting from it.

I was finally brought into Christian Science through the healing of a disease, in the incipient stage, considered by materia medica incurable. The physical healing was rapid and permanent. Spiritual regeneration had been gradual, but every step of the way has been a joyous overcoming, replacing false beliefs with true ideas. This growth has been manifested in better and happier conditions throughout all my human affairs. While there have been many mistakes, the overcoming has always left me on higher ground.

There have been physical healings innumerable—of burns, effects of accidents, a scorpion bite, sudden acute attacks of illness, hay fever, influenza, colds, and chronic headaches. When I applied for membership in a branch church, a disfiguring wart on my right forefinger disappeared without my doing any specific work; and financial problems and many faults of character and disposition have been overcome.
