In a paragraph entitled "Fellowship of Youth" appearing in a recent issue of your paper, mention is made of a talk on Christian Science given by a clergyman, who is reported to have told his audience that he did not think that "Christian Science was a Science or that it was practiced in a Christian way." I feel sure he cannot have read much about this subject or he would have come across the Tenets of Christian Science as given on page 497 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. A study of these Tenets discloses the purely Christian basis upon which Christian Science is built. Let me quote the last tenet as an example. It reads as follows: "And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure."

Again, in regard to the assertion that Christian Science is not Science, the word "science" means "exact or provable knowledge." Christian Scientists have found their religion is practical, provable, and exact. Mrs. Eddy says on pages 146 and 147 of her textbook, "Divine metaphysics is now reduced to a system, to a form comprehensible by and adapted to the thought of the age in which we live."
