For thirty-five years Truth has been my only medicine
For thirty-five years Truth has been my only medicine. "Seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you," said Jesus. I pondered this passage for a long time and finally was rewarded when I heard of Christian Science.
I joined an orthodox church at the age of eighteen years, but soon saw it did not give me the true bread for which I was hungering. I studied the Scriptures and bought books that I hoped would throw light on the Bible. Finally I gave up medicine, for I saw there was nothing in it that could help me. I also gave up church work.
Then a dear neighbor presented Christian Science to me, and I asked her to explain it. I drank in every word she said, and went home rejoicing. I realized I had found the truth that makes free. I was instantly healed of chronic catarrh of stomach, bowels, and head, for which the doctors had said there was no cure.
