Penn Yan, New York (Society).—On Sunday, May 18, 1941, Christian Science Society, Penn Yan, dedicated its church on Main Street, at the regular morning and afternoon services. A history of the society, which follows in part, was read.

"In 1925, a group of Christian Scientists rented two rooms in the Cornwell Block, a large room and a smaller one for the Sunday school, and started having Sunday services, and also a Wednesday evening meeting. On August 24, 1927, they were recognized as Christian Science Society, Penn Yan.

"From the time they started, they were always able to meet financial obligations and to share their good fortune by donating to The Mother Church and all its activities.

"In October, 1939, they purchased their present property, repaired and redecorated it, and moved in on December 3.

"In a little over a year they were able to pay off all indebtedness. Adhering to the rules of The Mother Church, that all edifices must be free from debt before they can be dedicated, they now dedicate this church."
