Father , I thank Thee at this eventime
Thou knowest not night.
There is no midnight hour when I can stray
Beyond Thy sight.

No powers of darkness need my thought disturb,
For Thou art near.
Thy love around me folds protecting arms;
I cannot fear.

With Thee the evening as the morning hours
In glory shine;
The Sun of Righteousness pours ever forth
Its light divine.
