I wish to express my deep gratitude for having been led into Christian Science. It was through searching for this new understanding of Christian healing for a loved sister who was suffering physically that I became interested.

I had casually heard that Christian Science heals the sick. One Sunday evening I started out to find a Christian Science church, and being a stranger in the city, made many inquiries before one was found. After the service the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, was borrowed and brought home to the sufferer. A few days later I took up the book and began to read. When I had read a short time I found I was healed of chilblains on my hands and feet. I was greatly surprised at this, the weather still being bitterly cold, and I had never known them to disappear until the warm weather returned. This healing was permanent.

The time soon came for me to take my stand for Christian Science. One evening after deciding to leave my former church and continue in the study of Christian Science, I suddenly became conscious of a spiritual presence all around me, which stayed with me for several hours, giving me a sense of security. I took this as a sign that the right decision had been made. I found great happiness in this new study. I then applied the truth for a bowel trouble from which I had suffered for a few years. This healing came slowly but surely, and with it came increased faith in the omnipotence of God.
