Kindness

[Written Especially for Children]

If every little word I'd say
I'd measure carefully today,
I wouldn't say a thing unkind
To anyone, nor would I mind
A hasty word that someone may
Express to me, because I'd find
That I'd forgive and know
It could not hurt; and so,
Let us then weigh each little word,
And be just like the joyous bird,
Who sings his song, in spite of weather.
So let us dwell in love together.
