I took up the study of Christian Science about seven years ago, and I should like to express my deep gratitude for all the blessings I have received.

At one time, when I was at my brother's farmhouse, in climbing down a corn loft ladder with a basket of grain under one arm and my little boy under the other, I slipped and fell to the foot of the ladder. There was a sound of a bone cracking. For some minutes I was unable to think, the pain seemed so sharp. All sorts of suggestions came to me, including the thought that I should suffer for several months, and I was the only one to look after my brother, my grandmother, and my family of five. I endeavored to refute these suggestions by the truthful declaration that there are no accidents in divine Love. Aloud I repeated the words of "the scientific statement of being" from page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. After a minute or two the pain grew less. Then I was able to get up on my feet. I went to the dining room and read the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly. I got up, and was able to walk without difficulty, although my leg was swollen. I did my work for the day without anyone noticing anything abnormal.

I thank God for the healing of a number of other illnesses, such as fibroid tumor, bronchitis, measles, influenza, and whooping cough, which were very quickly healed.
