It is with a heart full of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and mine that this testimony is given.

Since early childhood I have been a reader of the Bible, and a church worker. At the age of twenty I became a member of the Congregational church. About ten years ago, I found myself in the predicament described by Job, when he said "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble." There seemed to be no help anywhere, and I wondered if God existed, and. if so, why He had forsaken me.

That "man's extremity is God's opportunity" proved to be true in my case. A sister, who had had a wonderful healing through Christian Science, persuaded me to go to a practitioner. Then I began to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly; and I subscribed for and read the literature.
