In a letter published in a recent issue, a correspondent says he has "tried to read Mrs. Eddy's views on Christian Science." If your correspondent will carefully read one of the biographies of Mrs. Eddy, or her autobiography, entitled "Retrospection and Introspection," which may be had on loan from a Christian Science Reading Room or public library, he may be enlightened regarding the lifework of Mary Baker Eddy.

Mrs. Eddy discovered the Science of Christ, Truth, and called her discovery Christian Science. Your correspondent will begin to understand this Science if the study is carried out with an open-minded patience and desire for spiritual good. The Bible states, "And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children."

In her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy says (p. 313): "Jesus of Nazareth was the most scientific man that ever trod the globe. He plunged beneath the material surface of things, and found the spiritual cause."
