There are many earnest students of Christian Science who are depending upon prayer for healing, not only for health but for the solution of everyday affairs of life for which there is no material remedy. These earnest Christian Scientists are working out the rules of Christian Science and obtaining the promised harmony.

The science of mathematics has its fixed rules, and obedience to them brings results. No one condemns mathematics because some fail to work out all the rules; neither can Christian Science be judged by the "exceptional cases" which are spoken of in your report of the debate on the National Insurance Bill. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in "No and Yes" (p. 12): "Christian Science Mind-healing can only be gained by working from a purely Christian standpoint. Then it heals the sick and exalts the race."
