No Separation

I am persuaded
That never can we drift beyond the loving sight
Of God our Father, watching very near.
Nor time, nor space, nor lowest depths, nor height,
Can separate from Him His children dear.
And though, perchance, the while we pray, we doubt,
Our faith too small to grasp His wondrous grace,
Yet still His mercy hems us round about,
Enfolds us close within His deep embrace.
Love ever leads us on through storm and shine;
Sweet guardians of Truth the path reveal.
God's purpose stands unchanged, a sure design;
His Christ walks close at hand to bless and heal.
I am persuaded.
