It is with deepest gratitude for the many blessings I have received since Christian Science came to me that I give this testimony.

Some years ago, I was in a state of mental darkness and extreme physical weakness. A serious disability, which years of medication had failed to relieve, had resulted in a complete breakdown.

Fearful in the extreme, and without hope in the world, I prayed to God as earnestly as I could for deliverance, and my prayer was answered: I was introduced to Christian Science. My first reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, did not seem to result in any change in my condition, and I read the final chapter on Fruitage feeling rather resentful that some wonderful thing had not happened to me as it had evidently happened to others, who had been healed by reading the book. But as I began to study it more closely, in an attempt to understand how the healings were brought about, the light of Truth shining therein began to pierce my darkened consciousness. It became clear to me that my suffering was due to years of acceptance of false beliefs and theories and an entirely wrong concept of our loving Father-Mother God, and that the way of liberation was purely mental, and consisted of learning Life aright by exchanging wrong concepts for true ideas. It gradually dawned upon me that I was in reality a beloved son of the all-loving creator of the universe, and that He had ordained nothing but good for His children.
