For some time I have desired to express my great gratitude for Christian Science. It is nearly eleven years since I borrowed a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy from a local Christian Science Reading Room. I had been brought up in the Church of England, but I often visited churches of other denominations, for I was seeking a religion that would satisfy and help me in my daily life. In Science and Health I found a complete answer to my many queries.

I was intensely grateful when I found that Christian Science heals, because at that time I had two sons, six and seven years of age; and whereas I was formerly full of anxiety and fear as to their health, I found that when any so-called childish ailment manifested itself, it was immediately overcome through the application of Christian Science.

A severe case of ringworm was completely healed in six days, with the help of a Christian Science friend, although a doctor had said that it would probably take six months to effect a complete cure. A sprained arm was healed in half an hour; colds and abscesses in the ears were also quickly healed through Christian Science.
