In a recent issue a writer says, "Perhaps Mrs. Eddy's 'Key to the Scriptures' omits the parable of the grain of mustard seed."

May I point out that Mary Baker Eddy was a close student of the Bible, and in writing of her discovery of Christian Science states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 126): "The Bible has been my only authority. I have had no other guide in 'the straight and narrow way' of Truth."

Mrs. Eddy makes the following statement on page 575 of Science and Health: "Spiritual teaching must always be by symbols." She continues, "Did not Jesus illustrate the truths he taught by the mustard-seed and the prodigal?"

"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" is on loan at various public libraries, and I commend it to all who need to be spiritually uplifted and sustained in these troublesome times.
