For all the blessings I have received through Christian Science I am deeply and inexpressibly grateful. In the Bible is the promise, "Ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." This I have had the opportunity to experience. Christian Science has been my only help since July, 1936.

I was suffering from organic heart trouble and overactivity of the thyroid gland. I had gone from one doctor to another, but none had been able to help me. Through X-ray photographs it had been found that blood stoppage was in evidence in the lungs. I had then tried another cure to which I had been sent, but I had become weaker, and the attacks from which I was suffering were more frequent. Then Christian Science was presented to me. I began to attend the Wednesday evening testimony meetings, and I heard the words, Cast "all your care upon him; for he careth for you." The thought then came to me to apply this in my own case. By studying the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and The Herald of Christian Science (German edition) I was soon free from chronic inflammation of the cornea, from which I had suffered for five years. My desire to learn more of this wonderful truth grew constantly greater. I went to a Christian Science practitioner for help, and I was entirely healed. The healing occurred one Sunday morning. The night before I had slept badly, due to pains in the neck, and fever. Error suggested to me, "You are tired; do not get up." When I thought this over I came to the realization that there was no power opposed to God that could hinder me from going to church. My obedience was rewarded, for I returned home healed.

From that time on I changed visibly. In six months I had gained seventeen pounds. In all my thinking and acting I have become surer and firmer, and when I have had to make a decision I have always reached a right decision by applying the truth. More abundant supply has come to me. When difficulties have presented themselves, I have always told myself with full confidence in God: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. . . . In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." God has always guided me aright. I therefore want to prove my gratitude by becoming a faithful Christian Science worker. I am grateful that God has shown me the way, and also grateful to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and I wish to express my appreciation of the activities of the church; likewise of the practitioner who has always stood by me faithfully with her help.
